Annual Theological Seminar

ACI Seminar on Reconciliation

At a time when Sectarianism in Ireland has re-emerged as a destructive force: when racism is seen as acceptable from the rich and powerful, and when Brexit is taking up so much of out time, it is appropriate that our ACI Seminar in 2019, should be on Reconciliation.

Our speakers are two people who have daily experience of coping with diverse attitudes and interests and a vested interest in reconciliation. Rev Earl Storey in his professional life as a Management Consultant and recently as the Editor of the Gazette has first hand experience of working with communities and peacebuilding

Rev Dr Alexander Wimberly is the recently appointed Leader of the Corrymeela Community. He is originally from the US and has a PhD in History with special focus on reconciliation in American Presbyterianism. For the last 7 years he has been the incumbent of Mc Cracken Memorial Presbyterian Church in Belfast. During that time he worked with Corrymeela on various projects.
